Born in Auckland, lived in Brisbane for the last 19 years.

    Hi everyone!
Just found this site and joined up. I had a Norton Commando back in the early 80's in Auckland.I bought a new 2001 Triumph Bonneville, which after 4 years I have recently traded on a Ducati S2R.
We have some great roads here in Brisbane, however there is a little bit of bad Press around at the moment. We have lost a lot of riders recently and there is even talk of banning bikes from certain roads.

Anyway, I just wanted to say hi. I used to run a bike shop in south Auckland many years ago, in another lifetime. We had two of them, my Dad ran one and I the other.

    Stay safe everyone,
    Regards, Nosme

    Welcome mate, ride safe!
To every man upon this earth
    Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods

You got it in one!. There is a meeting next Wednesday night at the Mt Nebo hall. The police want us banned, so we shall see want happens. I live in Samford at the base of Mt Glorious.I just go for a burn up and over the hill, then have a coffee at the top with the boys, (and girls).

    Stay safe, nosme

Banning bikes from a road - what a WANK.
Could it only happen in Queensland????
Probably not - good luck with the meeting, mate.

Dangerous," --->...<---" dont neccesarily mean Perth.........

The thing is bikers that ride that hard will only go some were else and kill them selves, hell those signs that are up on the other side of the cafe are huge never seen warning signs like that before just for bikes.... so what else can be done? hell I never had any trouble on that rd at all and I rode it hardish.
    Banning bikes isent the answer

PS: below is the bike I had there.

Hi Nosme. Nice bike. Any piccies? I fell in lust when I first saw one at the MotoGP expo last year. I locked eyes with the red frame and was a gonner. However once the lust subsided (as it does....though it took a while) I realised it's got smaller brakes than my M800Si.e., and no carbon fibre. So I'm sticking with my two at the moment.

    Did you know they've just released a 1000DS S2R?

And welcome to the KB gargre.

Which bike shops did you and your Dad run?
