Diagnostic tacho to suit 2 cylinders?

Does anyone know where one can lay their hands on such a beast or anything else that would do the job. Trying to set idle on my VL250. Reading other posts this should be 1400 - 1500 to avoid the dreaded stalls these beasts exibit at times

A number of multi meters intended for automotive use come with a tacho function and clip on pickup. My own one bought from Dick Smiths many years ago certainly has it. Very useful too.

A timing light will do it. Mine reads revs. Just clip it to the battery and to a plug lead. I can bring it along Tuesday if you want.

Presuming of course it has leads and on coil on plugs.

Done deal . Yes separate coil and leads. Old skool.
