Bloody awesome day. See what Huey will do for you if you stop calling him a girl![]()
Great riding with you all. Hope "Roxanne's" phat arse didn't get in too many riders' way.

Looks like I posted this in the wrong thread...
Double posted..
Ahh it was a great ride. Nice to see a fair amount of people turning up.
And of course the 'team milf racer' gareth_d and the 'independant racer' tristank managed to keep the bigger bikes honest again
We ahh.. don't compensate for anything
The rain got me a little worried but it stayed away. As BJ said it kept it not to hot but not too cool.
The yellow gixxer 1k crew were fucking confusing... who is who. Only thing I could realise was SPB having no stickers on the back - not that you notice when they rapidly disappear under power on a long sweeper
Some bumpier parts of the road were interesting - heard various conversations about how the arse's came out a few times... good to hear it was happening to everyone so I can't blame the tyres :P
Nice to meet some fresh faces - liam (doing friggen well for a 5 day newb O_o), teflon, madmax gsxr guy, one of the red/white cbr250's (whatsa your name again?), I think sazLEX (white vfr400..?) and a few others I can't quite remember.
My can of beans helped great on the straights, mr SPB aka beanman
p.s. gareth - soft tyres are for pussies

Was a really good ride, weather really picked up for the return leg.
Looking forward to another one soon, as long as I can feel my legs again.
Yeah, you boys on the 250's were the best riders i saw. Made a lot of people look silly.Originally Posted by tristank
Was a good day for sure. The twisty's were just perfect for the XT's. Thanks Jim and Gareth
pity I couldnt come to balance the yellow ones with another black one. Still, did 1700 km over the weekend and over the Rimutakas 3 times on Saturday!

Thanks for the ride guy's and girls. Had a great day and can't think of a better way the 'brake in' the blackbird. Hit 400k for the day just as I turned into home, and the butt knew it.
Cheers
Brian
Mate you should have bought a gixxer [yellow of course], real comfy seat. No pain after a day in the saddle!Originally Posted by BigB

It's a shame I missed it, but we did the loop from Tauranga-Whangamata-Coroglen-Coromandel-Kopu-Whanga-Tauranga on Saturday with brilliant sunshine on the East side of the peninsular. We all had sore arses too.

2 Guzzi's, 2 Ducati's, 1 Triumph, 1 ZRX & 1 TRX all had a great day out. And check out my new accessory.![]()

also pissing tristan off by pushing his mirrors in riding along SH2 on the way back, i think those behind us had a good few laughs at tristan and my hooliganism (had to love that boy racer!)
Karl the one time you did scare me was when you sandwiched me between you and tristan, that wheelie up the hill on between tairua and kopu was mean, i think you were 30cm off my shoulder![]()
Personally had an awesome day, really enjoyed chasing the pack up from the back after having to sort out my zorst, that twisty stuff over from coromandel to whitianga is mint!
Apologies to anyone that i cutoff/passed close to, was enjoying it a bit too much to slow down for too long.
HDT that was my first ride with you and i gotta say you're a bit mental on that CBR. If i was keeping the ZXR i'd get it jetted/tuned to the pipe and then i'd have that little bit of extra power to match you on the straights![]()
Cheers to all who came, anyone wanna chip in for my new rear tyre![]()

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.
