    I'll be using a different kind of fire... so it wasn't me... and I have witnesses that saw me sleeping and drooling on the couch at the time in question.

    Anyway, it was the library. Wonder how many MP's knew it was there.

    You all laugh now, but if parliament actually did burn down - the whole country would come to a stop. Just like it does when the politicians go on summer holidays for 2 months.

    Still they only got a 5.5% pay rise this year. Yes the average across the country was something like 0.7 but still - everyone else probably gets more holidays than them... or wait, probably not. John Key's pay rise was about the same amount as a year's worth of wages at minimum wage. Sure he earned it though.
