Until I gave them away last year so did I. Not fitting them for 15 years helped.
But then I have $10 jeans from 10 years ago that still get worn regularly.

$129 full retail for the technic equivalent that aside from logos the same pattern. Different colour but same grade leather. Different stitching and logos. Technic only double stitched instead of triple and the thread was not Kevlar on the technic. Still mine were worn but faultless at 2 years old. His were fucked at 2 months.
Leather faded, logo gone on one hand coming off on the other, the stitching on the index finger on both hands was so dense that the perforations were tearing like an easy open envelope, pinky fingers had curled in and no longer sat on the bars properly. Apparently they were fine until they got wet. My technics had been wet dozens of times and had a membrane not present in the name brand.

Sometimes a name is just a name. Personally I care more about quality.

He bought the technic and returned the others.

Most leather and mainly gloves come out of India. But as always you get what you pay for when buying from there.

I have a pair of 3 year old Five branded gloves with about 70,000ks on them and have been down the road. Holding up fine. Got some nice summer Revits which look to be great quality.

My fave ever came from New Plymouth motorcycles in the 90s. Full grain leather. Only tag was made in Pakistan. No branding. Crashed hard twice in them. No damage a wipe down and a snoseal didn't fix. Warm enough for winter. Cool enough for summer.
    On clearance for $29.

I have had better single purpose gloves, but not better all rounders. Did about 200,000 in them before I sold them for $40.
