Pete, always been a pleasure coming into WMC when I was in town ( not that often.living in Dorkland) Got suckered into a cup of HTFU the first time.lived ! to tell the tale.
Never again. That alone is a legend you'll never live down and quite rightly so, icons don't fade away my friend, they live on and I'm sure something will turn up, specially now that it is public knowledge you're on the way.
Take care, ride safe(enjoyably so, of course) and if yer ever up here, you've got a bed, for as long as you need.
Every day above ground is a good day!:
Can't be that long surely. I remember buying bits from the Bond St shop - or am I older than I thought?12 Kent Tce where they've been for the last 45 odd years!
I used to spend hours (and money) in what is a Welly icon.
The best way to forget all your troubles is to wear tight underpants.
The Bond St shop was W White & Co. WMC started when Steve and Garry left there (or so I have heard)
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
those cheap ass bitches can do anything with ductape.

Damn, this thread was a shock to the system
I've been dealing with WMC for 30 years.
It's been a Wellington icon for as long as I can remember and you guys will be missed.
Makes sense with the move, I'd hate to think what the rent alone would be for Kent Terrace!
Yeah, how that place has changed. I used to live above a shop on Jackson Street 26 odd years ago. I kid you not there was just about a shop burglary on that street every night! I remember the sound of breaking glass one night and looking out the window to see a bunch of mongrel mob guys loading a bunch of freshly boosted compressors into the back of their van.
Jesus ! That was a surprise pete ! Good luck where ever you go.No doubt you'll pop up and I can say gidday ?
I go back a little way,so remember Steve and Gary in Bond street.
Lots of memories of W.Whites there too.
They've done bloody well those boys.
All those Production racing years of the 1970's,such neat memories.
Ah well,as they say, nothing stays the same ,huh ?
You'd never go hungry with Nigella Gaz.
If it weren't for flashbacks...I'd have no memory at all..
Never been there, never wanted to go there, won't be missed. But I'll miss the Cycle magazines. Good luck with whatever you get into next - same thing, or do you want to do something different?
