I enjoyed reading Clarkson's books. He has no time for all todays PC crap. To watch the show did nothing for me. Destroying and belittling cars etc just because of the manufacture's name in the guise of entertainment is not what I'm interested in watching.

I'm entertained by this "surprised" demise of TG. A messy way of doing the deed.

Yes. The BBC were out to get rid of a $100 mil plus a year generating asset. Logical as.

James May should stick to doing his Man Lab and other fantastic solo television efforts.

I am sure that the BBC could find three new presenters with, god forbid, at least one woman, who could add a fresh perspective to the show that could actually grow audiences -- even in France and Germany.
who the fuck let you out of the box?
    your humor is... not, really.

what i saw of it was good. if it's done it's dash then so be it.

you'll forgive me if i don't fall over the 6 o'clock news(/twatter/farsebook/fox) edition of events.

go outside and play. don't y'all have motorcycles or something?

Hell yes! I thought that too after watching him on a TG repeat the other day. He would be gold.

Tiff was a great driver, a good presenter, but he didn't have the x factor Clarkson did...

Clarkson may have had the x-factor, but some years back it became the [wh]y-factor...

Bring back William Woollard (?), put on your driving gloves and let's go for a sedate Sunday drive in our freshly polished Rover. Now that's when it was a proper motoring show..... Mind you, the bike bloke (Steve someone) was a bit of a burke. Saw him at the Rock and Blues Custom show in the UK one year, he got so much stick from the crowd that he very quickly disappeared for the weekend.

Perhaps think of it from the other direction.

Couple that with the statement by JC at the beginning of the first programme of this current series...

Linky please, or just type it out.

They sign every year afaik, again for large sums of moolah, so I don't buy it. I'm sure he got extra for cutting it short (maybe? a dismissal like that he really shouldn't) but they're hardly begging in the street...
