And I'm enjoying it more and more. Actual basic car reviews (which TG became incapable of), with a good smattering of high-end motors doing obigatory power slides.

I agree - Tiff is a motoring guru to match Clarkson, but without the boorish egotistical nonsense. His co-presenters Vicki Butler-Henderson and Jonny Smith make up a good cohesive team.

I watched every Top Gear show, right to the bitter end, and I think it went past its use-by date. Time to move on.

Have you watched any /Drive episodes? I think that Chris guy is good at what he does and it's grown nicely from something he did on the side.

James may could have carried the show himself, well he kind of did anyway.
The German girl Sabine ? who i think was a professional racer instructor or test driver the one they had racing the transit van around the Nuremberg ring.
Had more screen presence and personality than Hammond and Clarkson put together.
I recall she was also pretty well put together also.
Anyone remember her?

It is really looking like the Beeb have shot themselves in the foot.

Top Gear is an entertainment programme which contains cars.
Before the current (ex) presenters, it was a car programme which was not very entertaining - and the numbers of viewers reflected this.

May & Hammond have not renewed their contracts, so any further "re-spawning" of the genre by the Beeb would be a huge challenge.




Quite frankly JC was entirely correct in hitting the producer. Who the fuck names a child "Oisin"? Hitcher's List Of Officially Approved Names is looking far more sensible all the time.

When I am Ruler, there shall be no personalised plates, and parents will have to choose their progeny's names from an officially approved list (just like in France and Denmark).

There shall be punitive fines for use of the word "ass" unless it is being used as a plain English descriptor for Equus asinus asinus. Possibly even a death penalty for repeat offenders. "Gotten" and "should of" usage will receive similar treatment.

There shall be a minimum standard set for whingers.

There shall be an annual public holiday in honour of the apostrophe.

And a myriad of other important laws.

I can hardly wait.

Defence: Compulsory military training for all citizens aged between 18 and 20. Double time for whingers and gimps.

Education: Nobody leaves school until they can spell, punctuate and successfully complete basic arithmetical exercises. Science curriculum would be compulsory. School leavers would have to be fluent in a language other than English.

Economy: Political and economic union with Australia. That way the whingers and gimps could go and live there.
