Do you wave or nod to cops on bikes?

I passed 5 of them the other day around whitford auckland and gave a friendly wave. They ignored me so just wondering if other riders do. I guess riding is their day job not fun so different frame of mind.

View from the other side of the fence.

Some wave to me in a friendly manner, some wave just the two fingers.

It's amazing how insular some cops have become. Some don't feel like part of the motorcycle community, seeing the motorcycle community as the opposition.

I tend to be the other way around, as a motorcyclist who happens to be a Popo, rather than a Popo who happens to ride a bike. It's a subtle difference, but significant.

Wave Dunkin Donuts vouchers next time, they'll wave back.

I wave. They normally wave back. My question would be more why wouldn't you?

Just be aware if they wave frantically at you without prompting you likely have bits falling off.

Yeah, either wave or nod, either way I acknowledge them... of course they may not return the acknowledgement if they have "someone helping them with their inquiries"!

I like to wave too the local BIKE popo...HI RASTUSCAT!
(and smidsy & Fireball ...I would wave to you as well scummy...if they ever wise up and give you a popo harley!)

The ChCh crew are always nice and send a happy wave back (cos they are like us...bike lovers!, who happen to be popo)

But popo cars!....NOPE, not any more & never again! (Used to nod/wave to them on occassion)
But have usually had the wave returned with a dangerous U-Turn, speeding & lights on popo car up ma arse (Or rapidily pulling up next to ya) and an angry young popo usually saying "Whats your problem!!...why did you wave?...where have you been?, where are you going?"...

...its what happens when you lower the IQ entry bar and hire young tattooed up thugs!, they simply don't understand "friendly" or "polite", there just looking for the next head to crack or reason to "flex there powers" (And lets face it, there just to damn stupid to ever last more than a week riding a motorcycle!(Uturns dont have the required "effect", hence, simply no understanding towards bikes at all!)

...in short, I only ever wave to bike popo (And if they don't wave back...Im pritty sure you can pull THEM over and issue a KB ticket for being a rude biker a not reciprocating...I may be wrong, but try it!...and let us all know what happens )

    ...POPO WHEELIE!!

When Life thows me a curve
    ...I lean into it!
