    GB400 clip-on-to-riser-bar conversion?

Trying to work out how to convert the clip ons on my bike to a riser type bar, has anyone done this? Not keen on the drill and tap method as there is stuff all metal to support it and I'd like to keep it so i can convert back if needed. Any help would be great.

My cbr was just drilled through the top triple clamp, bolt and nut under. It worked... have converted it back to clipons though.

Bear in mind, if your seat is designed for clipons, changing to risers alters your position on the seat and can make it bloody uncomfortable. With the risers 200km was my limit, with several brakes, couldnt walk for a day or so afterwards. Gone back to clipons, could ride all day with less brakes due to comfort

A friend of mine put CB900F (and they're probably the same as CB750F) bars on his GB500 to raise the bar position a bit. They're a direct bolt on substitute. Off to the bike wreckers and see if you can score some.

I'm a bit big - 6-3 for the bike but I'm a bit attached unfortunately, 200km is further than i can go, am thinking of changing the seat and tank layout to match (without changing the frame) to allow conversion back if wanted. Also would allow a prettier double seat as the current GB doubles are a bit ugly.

Anyone done a yoke swap? difficult/easy?

I have Tomaselli adjustable clip ons on my GB500-they give you a little more height-read comfort-and the bar ends don't dent your tank as with the standard bars

I had a drill and bolt through on a nt650 honda bros...might even be the same triple clamp on that possibly?
