Yup - tinted pinlock insert (in clear visor) was pretty mint riding home tonight - heavy rain and dark, was thankful to not be fogging up in the low visibility. It was a fair bit darker though than I expected in my rural area with no street lights in the rain, took just that extra bit out that I am used to with no tint on the insert. I once made the mistake of riding to Auckland and returning at night. And forgetting to take a clear visor for the return journey in the dark...

It was also pissing down and blowing like hell so I couldn't ride with the visor open - me specs got too wet to see through. After a bit of farting around I decided that a closed dark visor gave more visibility than an open visor and wet specs. So I just had to get on with it.

After a short time my vision adapted to the reduced light and I could actually see quite well. Especially on the open road away from street lights etc. I did take it a bit easy though.
