    I am innocent part 2

Since Akzle managed to get part 1 to go to PD

TV1 8.30 tomorrow (Wednesday 01 April) Should be interesting

A 16 year old got into a horrific car accident with a police officer and was found guilty of careless driving causing injury and was ordered to pay $18,000 in reparations.

Should be interesting and apparently refers to a case down south. Are the coppers always right? And why do Judges think they are. Looks like a real interesting programme involving motorists rights!

The Alexandra one is third from bottom on this link if people want to bypass the obvious sensationalism of the TV. Not sure about "horrific", nobody lost an eye, although a few careers were harmed in the making of the documentary.

Posting the full IPCA link because there are a few interesting stories in there that will get the KB posse salivating.

Interesting. The female constable sounds like she got royally shafted in that

The father of the ex girlfriend who supported the victimised boy in this case - sadly his wife and her mother has mysteriously gone missing!

Nothing to do with this case but very very stressful for that family again - missing without a trace - in Dunedin! ODT report! - Really sad situation!

Maybe you should read the report and talk to some people involved. The cop who should have been charged with perverting the course of justice was never charged with any offence. Thi IPCA report mentions him many tiomes and alludes to the fact that the rules have changed and under current rules he would have been charged and Cass would not have.

There is also sufficient evidence that if she had pled not guilty then the spotlight would have been on the real culprit, and it would not do for someone of senior rank to be charged.

Bloody hell, just watching tonight's episode (Black Widow's son who was accused of his dad's murder). The Police must have had a freakin' nightmare trying to get to the bottom with the blatant lying that went on in that case. Not helped by the son's prior activities, but geez the "mother" (I can't use the word without inverted commas) - what a piece of work!! I feel really sorry for the son and the Police dealing with such a conniving psycho woman.

She did get shafted ............it certainly appears she had cause to plead guilty though, No slight on her intended, as it seems she had tried to do the right thing, but was not allowed to. Prevented, ignored and then hung out to dry.
There should have been a lot more done here. At least it showed at least someone who has been wronged like Crib was, that as long as he follows the process he can expect an outcome even if it probably didn't go far enough in this case.
I think an appropriate word here is scapegoat if not sacrificial lamb.
