Reciprocating saw or similar to borrow? (Auckland)

Ever get that feeling? The one where you need a tool but are unlikely to need it enough to justify the cost?

Does anyone south of the harbour bridge or north of mercer have a reciprocating saw or similar I can borrow?
Air or electric, corded or battery not fussy.

I have about 1 x 1.5 meters of 18mm flooring to flush cut against the wall on three sides.

I know I can get it out with a ripsaw and elbow grease like I did with the bathroom but time will be of the essence because it is the flooring under the toilet.

Recip won't cut nice and flush against the walls.....

chainsaw will do it nice and quick......

Go and buy a cheap multitool packaged with a heap of blades. The blades are expensive to buy seperately so get a kit.

It will if you pre the majority of the material out with a circular saw which leaves a 2" lip against the wall. Cut up from underneath and you get a flush cut. Not terribly neat, but then neither is a rip saw.
New nog and it is straight enough for behind the scotia.

try a skill saw set on low, that'll do it as welll as a reciprocating saw, even if you have to take a couple of cuts, neither will get right to the edge but you'll be able to dig the rest out once the main area is up

Yeah, what I have been doing so far. Circ for the bulk cuts and hand saw for finishing. Father in law showed how to use reciprocating saw to get nice and close to the wall from the under side of the house. Unfortunately he took his with him when he moved back to the uk.
