Careful, I might nick your boots. I'm sure they already have teeth marks in them.

Just be a little more flamboyant in your wave.
It's called hiding in plain sight.

We had plod come and give us a big pep talk prior to one of Maha's Muriwai to Mangawhai rides. If I remember we were followed from BP Silverdale to Hooters Park in Albany. Then plod parked at the top of the road. One of our members who is no longer and member here went up and invited him to come have a chat to us.

    He did.

Later in the day we passed him in the Dome Valley, he waved to us We got left alone the entire ride

    Manners. Always time for manners.

When I was still involved in AWNMR / NASS I pulled up to a gassie and a car unit started getting the full check sheet of what can we possibly ticket this guy for while I was trying to fill up.
So I changed topic and invited the guy to come to see what we were up to and to see for himself that no a Hayabusa does not automatically mean speeding. He was definitely impressed with the demonstrations for low speed turning on the thread the laces exercise. He declined to attempt it.
    He came along.
    He sent his boss along.
They gave me some vests to give away.
They tried to organise some instructors to come and have a look but they kept having to pull out last minute for several months.
Next 2 years he have me a cheery wave as I went past.

I nodded at one who went by yesterday - Easter Monday while I was pootlin' along into Feilding with wife on back. He did a u-turn and issued me a ticket for doing 99 in an 80 reduced speed zone. Was a 100 zone last time. My bad. My last plod nod.
