I'll help you if your broken down.
So, just to be clear, you don,t like jap bikes based on the japanese military behaviour during WW2?

I actually loved my Dad. He went through hell from the Imperial Japanese Army. So I expect to clarify, I would guess part of my dislike would be related to that, yes. Again, if you read my original post. Ride what you like, because you like it. I respect your right to do so. Don't expect me to ride one.I don't care what you ride, or who you have sex with. I don't like Japanese bikes because I fond them ugly, artificial and they have no soul. You asked. I would have never stated, you asked. I love sushi, green tea ice cream, Godzilla movies, any machine they make is fugly IMHO. It is the best engineered stuff on the planet.I also understand in your country everything is expensive, and stuff from Japan is cheaper. It makes financial sense that you would select such a bike to ride. For me it is not about the financial. I am an American. I buy American products whenever possible. I am rare even for here. I buy Snap-On tools, Chevy Pickups, Red Wing Boots, New Balance Tennie's. I do not state these things to force my views on anyone, I am who I am.I would try and get a Brittan if I was a Kiwi. It is sad that Swan Dri is now made in China.

Exactly, thanks for "dumbing it down" so he can understand. When people make such statements about Indian's being HD clones, it proves they really don't know what they are talking about.

Mine is 35 years old. (Made in NZ) ... It still works ... you don't live here ... so your point is .. ???

And a few Kiwi dads had "Issues" with the Japanese army as well. But the purchase of any Japanese motorcycle/product is a individual choice.

But "The War" is over ... apparently ...

Jesus that war was way back - let that shit go ......

FYI there was a show on TV a few years back when there was a big 'buy USA' push in the USA. The show went into a couple of typical USA homes and removed any item not made in the USA - the houses were practically empty after they finished.

Harley have Japanese parts on them......which is probably why the new ones are so good .....

I have been running K&N oil filters on my vehicles - the one for my Ford is actually made in the USA, the Mitsi and Honda (bike) ones are made in Asia ..........

Fair enough. Good answer. I don't agree but that doesn't matter. And yes I would have loved the opportunity to buy a Britten.
