John Campbell is full of shit. Not as bad as Mike Hoskings though.
Would still rather shit in my hands and clap than watch either of them

Well, looks like I'm in the minority here...I'm going to say that it will be a great pity if the programme folds.
Having a TV programme who will expose rorts whether in local government or business has been a bloody useful court of last resort in several cases.

Personally, having been in dispute with our local council for several years now, having the threat of going to the media held over them has been absolutely essential. If this programmes goes, what are you going to do ? Go on facebook and moan to your friends ? Write to the papers ? The ability to hold an organisation up to public exposure somewhere is a necessity.

Having a public forum where organisations are held to account has been a very necessary part of the ChCh earthquake sorting out process.
Believe me, if campbell hadn't got involved the shit would have just festered as without public scrutiny, nothing would have been done...

While I agree about the programme being worthwhile, I dislike both Hoskings amd Campbell. Their delivery and attitudes are hard to take.

Fair go seems to be fairly solid as a revealer of rorts and ratbags though.

To be possibly replaced by another home grown soap? Now THAT is "give me a fricken break".
I can't remember anything at all that has ever been a NZ soap remotely worth watching.

Don't even joke about that possibility.
That lil "look at me, i'm so awesome" wank stain has failed in every media venture he has been involved with.

Licking shit stain off public toilets is what he would be most useful for.

Television viewing used to start at 6pm once. These days, 6pm would be a good time to finish broadcasting.

Fair Go is made by the State Broadcaster...if they tried to take on EQC or EQR - or probably even local government, I'd bet on the Minister having something to say to them.
Media Works took delight in exposing official cockups and did it very well too.

The Fair Go motto is however about taking on anyone be it "a local shop, a megacorporation or the Government", which is as it should be.

Be very, very thankful it didn't happen in your area....At least for the next generation or so, if it happens again, some lessons may be remembered.

And, yeah, I was surprised there were any National MP's returned from ChCh in the last elections, possibly less next time. None have covered themselves in glory.
