    Exactly like that Big Dog
Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead
Do not walk ahead as I may not follow.
Do not walk beside me as the path is narrow
In fact FU*K off and leave me alone

Ironically most people who buy an Indian or a Victory used to be HD owners.

Since HD turned into a marketing company which sells motorbikes (instead of a motorbike company which has a marketing dept) they have lost quite a few of their original followers.

Of course those they lost have been replaced by the legions of lawyers, doctors and accountants who are rediscovering their youth.

As Blackbird mentioned a while back I own a Scout which I bought almost a year ago. I love it (I own a Victory Vision too so perhaps I have strange taste!) and for me it's the best cruiser-style of machine I've ever ridden.

I like H-D. I owned an XR1200x a few years back and enjoyed it but I always found the motor a bit disappointing as it lacked the kick I'd have expected of a 1200 V-Twin when you opened it up a little. The Scout's got a cracking motor and I find it comfy too. Each to their own of course but as far as lighter weight cruisers go I think the Scout takes some beating.

Nah, he'd know that. But I'm wondering if the rear failed or summat...

So do you guys still own your Scouts? Can I have some feedback please from real owners on the experience, the good and bad.

Too late now I have ordered one in blue after seeing this picture. Love at first sight. I want the same screen and bags which I reckon transform the look into something I could tour on all day, without putting my licence at risk for a change.

Took a Bobber for a test ride to get a feel for the motor and general feel of the thing. Whole new world to the feeble dinosaur Harley Sportster 1200 I once owned. Still ridiculous lack of cornering clearance but I guess that's all cruisers.

Maybe that's why we bought Royal Enfield Interceptors?
