The article is clear that the bikes were up for sale before the fracas. Besides which their contracts only expired at the end of last month or thereabout, so they won't be lining up at the soup kitchen for a while yet.
It would seem though that as well as the three presenters either having been declined a new contract, or having declined one, the Executive Producer of Top Gear (an old school chum of Jeremy Clarkson) has now left the BBC.
There may soon be a new "Not ToP Gear" programme on another channel.
Not that I watched Top Gear much. I've found Clarkson's boozed-up arseholery and its aftermath much more interesting than the TV show.

+1 on that...if you are a "rider" they're still not worth a cooont full of slushy mush. I blame 'The Worlds Fastest Indian' for the astronomical prices some people seem to pay for anything with 'Indian' on the tankSome of Indian's products can rightly demand a good price...but not Army Indians IMHO. Having ridden one years ago, I've not been more disappointed in a motorcycle since riding a 125 BSA Bantam having just got off my YL7 100cc Yamaha Twin when I was a teenager. There will always be grey porridge out there which only makes the real bikes seem worth paying something for. Not that the Yammy was anything to write home about....sure was better than any fluffy chook I ever rode though

I remember looking at one in the early 70's in Valentines. They were asking $120 which was a lot of moolar then. Seems ridiculous what they're fetching now. A school mate choppered one which seemed the best thing to do to one at the time. It even featured in the NZ Motorcycle News. Wonder where it is now....still wouldn't want it tho...POS
