    RVF NC35 with HRC goodies ~ Closed~

Can't figure how to delete this auction.. but I'm not selling now asa I enter the next stage of the fix/project.

Priority is to replace the engine more than a rebuild..new ignition also to be installed then replace rear shock & brake lines.. after this I'll get the new paint work done..

more than welcome to get in touch to enquire..but not likely for sale

    I shall retort..

I have spent 2k on the bike for a complete diagnostic & complete fix of all other issues & with Dyno to isolate the only issue..The engine requires new rings on one cylinder.

The work was completed by Motomart by a V4 specialist, no other issues exist & the current electrics are all good..just its not the correct loom to utilise the HRC CDi.

    I have all receipts

Including all HRC parts & exhaust system I have spent over 4k..not even including the bike purchase..

I'm not the kinda guy to screw other riders..so I'll decline the rather offer

    CDI unit

cost was 275 pounds in Feb 08..So I'd not ask for more than i paid for it..

However I'd like to sell it with the bike to see this project finished..So If I don't get any solid offers here then I'll let you have first dibs with an offer

wait, so is the all engine from an nc35 or nc30? then where are all the electrics from? what isn't working right? how can only one cylinder need rings? what's been done to the filter/airbox seeing as you've done the stacks/jetting?

what exactly is electrically, mechanically, and generally wrong with her? does she do 50kph fine?

i'm a fairly/very capable mechanic by necessity, but being a broke engineering student i have no time for a bike i can't ride. looking for a new NC30 or NC35 pending insurance dishing out for my last one but need to be able to commute on her as of monday when uni starts

oh, and more pics of paintwork, sprockets, important parts like that

(it's either fix my bike or fix yours, and mine is entirely cosmetic)
EDIT: and how much of the stock stuff do you still have?

yeah, need pics of paint imperfections, and the left hand side

been reading through your other thread, curious as to why did you get the muffler, hrc kit etc before sorting the engine/loom etc out properly? no offence intended, but it seems like you're either giving up for financial reasons, or realised it's fucked.

how are the brakes? bearings? i need to know if it's worth my attempting to fix it when it's my only method of transport

phoarrr more questions than I can throw a seagull @!

Well I'd almost totally given up..on Humanity!!

OK OK I'll try to answer all the questions I can..

I purchased this bike from A geezer in Auckland..from Deloittes..when it turned up the compression was a bit off & I had booked it in for full service @ place in Wellington (they should be ashamed & proud- other story)..they went over the bike as requested and fixed everything they could find wrong or loose etc..front fork rebuild all fluids & filters & sparks replaced

this is going to take an age to write out!!

I purchased HRC CDI unit from Manchester (brand new) HRC jet kit from Jap (brand new) and the Tyga performance zorst from...TYGA brand new) because these bikes are really freakin fast if you do the extra work & get them up to the way they are supposed to be..not thrashed to feckin death without service as the previous owner..

The callipers were cleaned with high pressure grease and cleaned & filed to make em back to quality.. brackets and all rearsets checked fixed..engine steamed & the rear cylinder (left) was almost completely off its pin!! (fixed now)..in short the entire bike was worked over for a cost of $2+k

but the two things that really made me not happy

it took 4 months for this highly esteemed shop to complete this job..I enquired about parts (HRC) and they never told me the engine & electrics were NC30 (neither did the seller) So I went out and hunted high and low for those bits..brought them to the shop...then they called me to say "hey, these parts don't fit" can you imagine how it felt!! After all the work done with jetting & exhaust etc they could not tell me if it was rings or other..they seemed to not have used a gastrometer??

So I can tell you other than the engine is smokey & is going through oil as I asked for a dyno to locate the exact issue... "can hear drainage into the sump".. they said after 2 weeks away from the shop!!

The mechanic working on this bike is freakin brilliant the shop manager buggered up the job & communication...I've let it go

This bike flies..it really really goes & with 141 needles it sounds like a ferrari on a shell ad

I have all the receipts..I have all the original needles & end can..I have a very rare brand new (never used) HRC CDi unit worth over $700 that would..if the top end was fixed up..would give about 70-72 hp on track fuel (not jet fuel)

the only thing that ain't cool is that it is an NC30 engine & electrics.. I'm trying to build a RVF HRC pure mofo here...so I've tracked an engine (on KB!) I've located a full RVF loom with all pick ups..

    but

my freakin mum is in the hospital.. & I need to help out with some stuff..so I'm either gonna get a bank loan & help family & fix rest of this project..or I just man up..sell the bike & look after family & try again at a better time in accordance with the fckin universes wishes

unlike the fckin crunt from Auckland I'm completely transparent about the condition of this bike & don't want anyone else to suffer with out need

    sigh

It only needs an engine or the rings to be done..but if you do the rings then you will still need the loom to use the CDI now I have a contact in the USA that races these in AMA & can locate a new loom for a couple of hundred..

    ring set from aus

    gasket set from aus

so this is half the cost of getting it done in a shop..but the cheapest option is an engine..I'll let you decide..but buga all needs to be done after all the dollars I've spent!

sorry I'm a bit grumpy..about all this cos I'm still losing plenty of money if it sells.

I've not given up on this project..but I either get an engine snappy like..or I sell it! I'm sure as $hit not letting my mum stay sick.

nuf said..let me know what you need answered..

    ..

so it's nc35 chassis and nc30 engine/electrics, with an hrc nc35 cdi that can't be used without the nc35 loom and assumedly having the nc35 engine would help too...

it runs but burns oil, and a top end rebuild would be expensive for someone paying a mechanic, but just a weekend plus parts for someone like myself. (some genius cast all 4 cylinders of the 90 degree v into one block which is part of the crankcase lol - but maybe if you're a dodgy mechanic you could possibly just remove one head and the sump, open up the one big end and then just eject that piston up enough to swap rings, but you may as well pull the whole thing apart properly and check it's all ok, reseat the valves, replace all rings/pistons and check the cylinders etc etc, maybe even 450cc big bore kit)

dead links btw, but no problem

now you've explained that it isn't a project gone wrong in the "farking rooted" sense it looks like a much safer buy.

if i was you i'd shelve the project and finish it once you're able to rather than lose all the money/time/effort - THEN get some friendly guys on kb to come down and have a weekend tinkering to help show ya how to fix her up yerself. i find commuting on a bike tends to pay for all the speeding tickets/performance parts you end up buying and then some, so if you haven't already, maybe look into that to justify keeping it?

i DO want your bike, BUT....

unfortunately i've found my excess for a single vehicle accident to be significantly higher than expected; so i can't afford to buy this nc35 AND my nc30 back for a track bike unless you'll take a rather "student" offer, and couldn't do the RVFvfr motor by monday anyway due to shipping parts and i'd be left with two broken bikes and no money to fix em.
don't ya hate it when you can't eat your cake and have it too?

sorry to get your hopes up, good luck with the project and your mum

Nothing is for free and the engine needs rings to be replaced on one cylinder..but if your doing this the other option is to purchase another engine ($500). Also requires a new wiring loom ($90) to use the HRC CDi unit (not a total lose system) as she currently is running a NC30 engine.

Cost for loom will be $80 -120 from UK or Australia where they are easy to find..Couple of the lads have engines available here also. It would cost 600 to get the parts and $3-400 for labour to complete this project.

Reg just expired..but will WOF & Reg for buyer as required.

This gurl flies like nothing I've ever ridden in the twisties & over 100k..has kept many an '04 R6 at bay.

I've been told the price is a bit high..so make an offer (required for family emergency)
Dude, $5k sounds like a deal for what she is. Best of lock selling, wish i had spare bling! Someone snap this baby up!
