    Pothole Alert - Albany

I came across this big sucker this afternoon on the road heading north out of Albany village and it's about 50 metres before the G.A.S. Station at the Coatesville-Riverhead highway turn-off.

I have reported it to *555 in the hope the police can cordon it off before anyone is injured.

Report it to Auckland Transport as well. When you do point out that it is a safety issue for all road users. Make sure you get a reporting number, I think that's what they call it.

+1 on this, explain its a hazard for bikers.
I did this on 2 areas and BOTH were 'fixed' within about 2 weeks

only problem road improvements are now signed off by the contractors, not an independant body, so if its not right it goes down to maintenance

i think this is the correct phone no: 3553553

they will ask for your name and as good a description as you can muster.
    go for it.

If it saves one person from going down then it's done the job.

If more people rode adventure bikes it would be irrelevant.

So therefore riders in Christchurch will be more aware of potholes as daily road hazards - more than a few Auckland riders won't. So yes, there's a difference in mindset right there.

Not everyone wants to be Charlie Boorman on their daily commute or weekend scratch.

You missed the pun. A pot hole is a new low part of the road.
