WTF had a look at the Pricespy link??

Within the top 7 there is Camara and Camara. Expert Infotech (who I bought from 5 years ago).
And the biggest selling computer retailer in NZ PB tech??

On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

'Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out! Shouting, ' Holy sh!t... What a Ride!! '

    Bang on!
Sales are usually set on quantity of product.
If they had 100 in stock then it's time for a sale price.
If yesterday they sold 95 of them then it is time to quit the sale price as stock is now too low to remain at that price.
Deals only last as long as stock levels are high enough. Simple maths really.
Me, i would have been saying, "wish i had dropped in a day earlier"

I bought a go-pro once and it was crap. Never use it now. The microphone was crap and any sign of sun and the pix where also. Maybe they are better now. Did you say $600 odd dollars. Price sounds crap also now.
    Sorry. Carry on.

I bought a similar product to a GoPro in Australia at Aldi for $39.00 called a Maginon Action Camera because im not a brand name snob. Seems to do the job just fine.

You know salesmen have the attitude test similar to roadside coppers right?

Also, if you weren't such a shitter you could get that camera for $480

We've never paid marked-up price on anything at HN for years. Just send in the missus who always goes for the "what's your best price" jugular, and they're always willing to move - even when on special and marked down to start with! Just depends on how keen they are to make a sale - over here, the more product they move, the happier the boss is, the more they earn. As long as they aren't losing money......

Up until that point you seemed like a garden variety whinger, but there you made a crisp transition to judgemental pillock.

If if the ownership base of the store is a problem for you, shopping there seems like double standards to me.

Even I can tell that giving ultimatums up front is a dumb way to haggle, and I can't haggle for shit.

I've found it's all about the approach. If you come across as an asshole expecting something you get fuck all, asking politely and you might be surprised, not forgetting that the vast majority of kiwis never bother to ask at all.

The other point here is, when being paid minimum wage or thereabouts, how many fucks would you give?
