2015 Final - TSS Red Baron King of Kaitoke - 17 May - Report and Results

TSS Red Baron King of Kaitoke 2015 - Final - Report and Results

On Sunday the final for the 2015 King of Kaitoke series was held at Wynn's Raceway in Upper Hutt.

The weather had been threatening to spoil the game leading up to it but a perfect stroke of luck saw the track dry out for the 3 points races of the day.
After some crash riddled practice races in tricky, changing conditions the action got under way.

    Motorad B grade:
Peter Gooch had some bad luck in the earlier fun races and was unable to start on his own machine, instead Scott Griffiths loaned him his GPR150 special which Peter used to take the first points win of the day.
Matt page managed to bring home second on his 'Junkyard Dog' with Phil Page in third.

The second points race saw the same top 3 and lots of jostling across the rest of the field.

In the 3rd race Peter's luck ran out and he got a good sampling of dirt on the top sweeper.
Matt ran home to win, with his father Phil is second and James Patrick in third.

    Scooterazzi A Grade:
Stephen 'Fish' Coombes battled Scott Griffiths for the frist two points races, winning both despite some pressure from Scott on the GPR150.
Rogan Chandler came 3rd on Dave Trustrum's 100, this could be a very fast rider combo and 3rd place on a maiden outing certainly shows the potential.

Stephen got the better of Scott again in race 2 with Malcolm Nabbs managing to sneak in to second after Rogan had a bit of bad luck.

Scott was out in the 3rd race so while Stephen cruised home to a first place Richard Eltherington and Malcolm Nabbs scrapped for second.
Richard came out in front for the second place with Malcolm being chased over the line to take third from Kyle Hammond.

Jason Trueman, a relative newcomer deserves mention for his performance in A grade, he picked up 3 5th places for the day, very good going considering how new he is to this fantastic sport.

Thanks again to the businesses that have sponsored this series, this has allowed us to offer good trophies and prizes.

I've set us back a millennium with a typo in the title.
It would be good if a mod could, well, mod.

If you have a time machine, 4&1/2 weeks back would be long enough to change a couple of things.
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
