    LinkedIn

Am I the only one who gets emails from LinkedIn asking for commendations and approvals from people you hardly know?

And people you've never really got on with but all of a sudden they're wanting you to be their 'best friend'

LinkedIn is starting to piss me off , just a tad.

And I haven't even signed up to it

You have to repeatedly unsubscribe from them. Then after a year or so they will come back and away they go again! Bit like having a troll on the forum really.

The user of LinkedIn gets a prompt, hey, do you want to form a connection with this person you seem to know (read, I know you now).

The person thinks... oh, why not.

LinkedIn spams a whole bunch of people for you, even if they're not on LinkedIn themselves.

I'm not on Linkn and refuse to join as enough emails and stuff to keep track of as it is.
I get a few requests but only from people I've done business with.
I don't get having a duplicate form of communication when already in touch with people on other avenues.

There is a silly function on LinkedIn which unwillingly and irreversibly sends out connection requests to EVERY SINGLE ONE on your Gmail/ Facebook/ contacts list with a SINGLE press of a button. Worst part is, Gmail automatically saves everyone I've communicated with (including every single Trademe buyers and sellers) and LinkedIn sends connection request to them as well. Done that myself by an accident once.

Put it this way. Those "requests" were sent out by mistake. Nobody still likes you.
