    Tramadol works for me.

Isoprofen from the doctor not the expensive chemist rubbish helps reduce swelling. It is juat a bit rough on an empty stomach.

I cant take codine at all as I don't metobalise it at all and strong voltaren stops me up as well.

+1, voltaren 75mg is my anti inflammatory of choice, makes osteoarthritis almost bearable. Getting so bad buying an electric start conversion for the Commando.

I tried that glucosamine a couple of years back, kept me awake like a Wandsworth Road MSG curry of the 90's.

I find that Naprogesic works a treat for back pain and makes my periods more manageable.

I hate taking serious pain killers and anti-inflammatory tabs can be pretty hard on your guts like Grumph says. Getting old with too many past serious injuries sucks and it's only going to get worse. At least I'm still riding and racing...a good reason to concrete truck it I'd say

    smoke weed nigga.

    But srsly.
You want a quack to work through it with you. Depending on the cause, i recomend, GET FUKEN HEALTHY, followed by STAY ACTIVE, then, low dose long term diclofenac, and/or opiates (codeine, morphine, heroin) there are reported negative efx, addiction being one, and constipation another, neither of which affect me. (insert 'full of shit' joke)

but yeah. Git r quack to discuss with. Never take paracetamol, avoid ibuprofen, dont take aspirin for pain.
    Smoke weed nigga.

Ketamine is evil! I was on it in ICU but despite that I lived. Took days afterwards to stop hallucinating...

Tramadol is the reason I can stand up. No noticeable side effects for me but it's bad news for some.

Definitely ask your Doctor and see if you can get a referral to the Pain Clinic.
