    Nope, the tupperware under the tank, the radiator and the stubby exhaust kills it for me. Nothing like the XS650.

    Have to agree with you... had a XS250...

    Perhaps some should learn what the word "retro" means... not much on the new, which is not bad looking in its own right, that is 'looking back' at the original XS series...

    It does say "retro inspired", and it is a variation on a current model. A proper retro bike would need an engine with fins etc etc and consequently cost a shed load more cash.

    The only thing that worried me was that the first feature they felt they needed to mention is the "two-texture leather seat". If that's the most important feature that's a but underwhelming. That leather seat would be a lot more appropriate in California than it would here too.

    Just a few years ago I wouldn't have wanted that for a wart on my arse, but I could probably live with it now; provided it wasn't bloody LAMS compliant.

    I want one-not ever. ( the original one would be cool as I know how spanners work )

    But wait... there's more...

    * the old school headlight
    * the aluminium tank

    and if you want to be totally retrosexual - whatever that may mean...

    you need to mention the aluminium fender and headlight bracket...

    The Guzzi V7 is retro with Italian panache...

    With a dash of SR thrown in ...

    No .. I would not have one .. as Moi says the Guzzi V7 series are real retro - I want the cafe racer one.

    (And I hope that 'one for ye olde pharts doesn't mean it's SLOW !!!)

    I'm retrosexual, was pretty hunky in the 80's.

    Oh, the bike? Yeah, nah. It's brilliant in that all the design cues are off target, all of them. That's some achievement. Nearly as offensive as that BMW cruiser thing from a few years ago.
    Just sayin, IMHO.
