    Stator rec/reg question

    So I have a question.
    I have discovered my rec/reg is fried, on my gsxr400 91 GK76A.
I was looking at replacing it with http://www.ebay.com/itm/SHINDENGEN-M...-/380704480069
Has anyone used one of these?
    what do people think?
Any reason why this would not work on my bike?
    Cheers

I've heard the name spoken of in good stead. As long as yours is a three-wire stator, that reg should be able to handle it, and do so better than the stocker too.

Yep good option, these are OEM on the latest Honda quads and give heaps less problems than the earlier reg/recs. Might be worth also looking at TM listing http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/moto...-897799769.htm

Same reg rec you will have to do the maths of if it works out cheaper. I might be able to help out with the plugs if you buy local, will check Monday if I have some at present.

Early suzis famous for it. Boils battery, fries stator, blows bulbs and if unlucky fries CSI. Low oil level fries stator which kills regulator which. . .you get the idea. Replace battery if suspect.

Reg with an extra wire can be adapted, just a voltage sensor attach to a switched 12v like feed to rear brake light.
