I just walk out the back door, carry the mini outta the gargre, crank it up, do a few laps of the driveway 'till the neighbour screams at me to "turn that fucking thing off!", get my knee down a few times in the driveway, put the bike away, open another beer.
Total ride time, 10 minutes.
Immense sense of satisfaction, lifetime.

I had a great ride in this morning from Pautahanui into Wellington. I left the lights between Paramata and Porirua and an old guy (older than myself) in a cage, carrying a bit of speed, passed me on the left. I wouldn't normally react but I think after watching a bit of GhostRider last night has had an affect on me - 500m and 170+Km/hr later woohooooooo - it was hard to slow down to the posted speed from there on.
To top it off I rode in with another black Hornet from the bottom of the Gorge and, coincidentally, we park in the same spot in town. Had a chat to the guy - he has only had it 2 weeks (2005 model - mine is a 2004). We have the same first name and he has a helmet the same as my old one! What's up with dat?
Anyway looks cool - two black Hornets parked up next to eachother...
