The Vifferbabe said I could have one if she could buy a quilting machine.
Then I showed her the picture and she said a bad word, and "Aaaarrrgh that's ugly!!"
Then I told her what it cost, and she had a fit.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

That RC213V-S is no way a VFR but I'm going to have to wait for a learned explanation of those wimpy power figures. The only people that came to mind as being likely buyers were Jay Leno, Tom Cruise and maybe Paul Bird.

A few years ago in a Brit bike mag though there was a comparison track test between a late model Ferrari and a Desmosedici. The same guy owned both. There are people around with that sort of cash. Just not around here.

Not sure exactly what sort of "real deal" the new R1 is. In the Isle of Man only the other day Michael Dunlop chose not to ride it.

    Bar those ah... performance issues...

I've seen the result of an R1 being ridden properly. Couple of thousand out of the rear (if that), and the bloke that owns it can have a look at the ride the night before, alter the bikes settings from his phone, and next day, he's exiting corners full throttle with the electronics sorting everything out...

Except the rear tyre gets killed

I'll take a piccy of it for you in a couple of weeks. It cost him one of his RC45s and a few k more but it sits in the store along side the infamous RC45 from Hamilton; interestingly though he doesn't like RC30s

That's one thing with BP if he's got something he'll use it, the bike even sits in the store as if it's just come in from a blast.....bugs & road-film on it . 10yrs ago at the brass he gave the 45 a wind-up on the sunday and just about got skittled by another bike that was heading out

Love to see it, as I dig them. Weird eh. But it's all personal choice. I'd far rather have an RC30 than a 45. But yep...they're made to be ridden. I certainly plan to ride my works bike, and most peeps think I'm mad in wanting to do so.

Yep it's pretty nice piece of kit in the flesh, the build quality is delicious
I was surprised at the response I got about a RC30; just made the comment that he should get that one from Carbongarage to make a full set and the it was just nah not keen on them
Yep if you've got something worthwhile using, use it....that's the purpose of it being built in the 1st place; though personally I'm not keen on seeing people abuse things they've got just because they can; in the long-run they just make themselves look like dicks with no respect for what they have.
A couple of weeks I'll be in giving the 12 a cold run at the dyno day they're having so will take a couple of pics

The real deal that's getting beaten by Aprilia, BMW and Ducati in World Superstock
