Maybe that's why in NZ people hound pigs for ages with a bunch of dogs that latch onto any piece of the pig that sticks out and then eventually hold it long enough to get the pig stabbed to death?

Some animals are bred to be killed for man to eat. What I eat offends other cultures. That practice is pretty fucked up according to my culture, and to me, but.......

Yup, its shitty - but unless youre a vegan, (in which case, GGF) you're kidding yourself if you think that a substantial portion of your protein intake isnt at the result of the suffering of another being at some point.

No, I'm certainly not a vegan.

I do however prefer that the animals that feed me haven't been subjected to unnecessary pain and suffering.

Taping up a dog's mouth so it can't make any noise while it is burned alive or breaking the legs of a dog so it can't jump out of a cauldron as it's boiled alive go way beyond anything that any human should consider acceptable.

Fair-ish call, I think they used to be considered a bit of a pest (how many thar, possums, rabbits and hares do hunters eat?) and they'd be really crap eating, but at the same time it makes it sound like you're OK with an animal being tortured before being killed, so long as it's in NZ and not a dog?

What's the the difference between punching and stabbing a dog with short blunt instruments before you eat it and doing the same to a pig that makes one wrong and the other OK?

I hear that in some despicably barbaric countries they pluck fish from the water before killing them, leaving the poor little buggers gasping and suffering up until the moment of death. Apparently some people do it just for sport... they just torture them in that manner before not even killing them and throwing them back in the water. WTF is with that sort of fucked up bullshit?

No, I'm not a great fan of pig hunting - although I'm aware that using dogs is a method that humans have employed for many millennia before the advent of guns.

Unnecessary cruelty is taking it a bit far though.
