    1990s music

The music in the 1990's really kicked some arse didn't it? Beat the living shit out of half the crap today. Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, Nirvana, Tool, Live, Silverchair, Foo Fighters, Rage Against the Machine..all gold that has accompanied me while I work this evening.

    That is all.
Nail your colours to the mast that all may look upon them and know who you are.

Back in the 90's I used to say that about the 60's and 70's.

You know you getting old when you have 'greatest hits' " best of" compilations.

With time, the memory of the forgettable drivel fades, whereas Genius will continue.

There was a lot of shitty music from all decades - but most of it has faded from memory

I thought 90's music was pretty shit to be honest. Though I was in my 30's then and was hanging on to the past two decades.

x2 Lets mambo no 5 or macarena while we discuss

Heaps of good stuff around at the moment. It can be harder to find because your not surrounded by teenage music nuts like you used to be

You've certainly listed a few fawkin good bands there
Not all of them were big at the time or an instant success as some assume though!

One thing some of the newer (good) ones struggle with is touring to grow their fan base. The younger crowd are at gigs every other week good or bad, it is a life style, older peeps only really go to gigs of bands they already know they like so they're not wasting precious free time on a potential flop. Hard to find new things with that mindset, not that their is anything wrong with it either

Either way, good line up to work to

On the subject of music, the AC/DC concert. I saw them back in the 80's and 90's when they looked like the poster for them

but isn't it a bit like advertising a 70's Holden for sale...

but what you are really getting is

They were good at the Sydney Entertainment Centre and Donnington.

True. I am still partial to a bit of Bolin.
And Bolan. Two musical geniuses gone too early, like Jimi I guess as well

I was in my 40s and had not listened to modern western popular music for at least nine years ... Most bands from the 1990s onwards I have no idea what they sound like ...

10 years ago all the adults complained no good music came after the 80s. I have a suspicion in 10 years people will blather on about the noughties.
