I was searching for claims about temp drops and there isn't any relating to 15% on their site. I think the claim in the testimonials was 225degree down t 220degree (107 Celsius). That's just my memory because im not going to read testimonials again.

I spent some time on the site previously because K100 guys wanted a list of people prepared to buy kits as they would design and make k100 hose kits if they had an order of 10 kits as its not a kit they have ever made before. think its was going to be 140 usd each plus freight because of no previous k100 hoses being made before. At least they were prepared to make a one off order though. I didn't end up getting a set.

I have only ever had an ally pump housing under the clamp rot away. Never a burst hose.

Thats where bike specific forums come in handy eh the amount of one off stuff ive bought through the TL site is amazing, last being a complete M4 system for the old girl, from memory we had to come up with 10 buyers before they would look at it.Carrozzeria rims where around $1500 cheaper than buying here.

The bike Im streetfighting is a 96 I think, and has sat in a shed for 10 years. I got it started and the hose went. 30k miles on it.

There you go eh,ive never had one go but in saying that the TL is the longest owned bike ive ever had,17 years old so the hoses have done well enough.

From personal experience I will say that replacing hoses before they fail is a good thing.

Waiting until a 20 year old hose gives up is much more expensive than replacing the whole lot on suspicion when one starts to look a bit dodgy.

    Nothing lasts forever....
Riding cheap crappy old bikes badly since 1987
