    Blink182 latest album

Just wanted to say some things about it.

The self titled album from Blink182(Has I Miss You, Feeling This and Always), in my opinion is a fucking great album. It is a lot more technical than any of their earlier stuff because they have matured and have gotten a lot better since the last realease of Take Off Your Pants And Jacket.

The songs on it aren't like any other from them I have heard. In fact they aren't like anything else I have ever heard in my life! They are technically awesome songs in every way. Maybe they lack some commercialism but that's good. It shows that a band can be different. And that a band like Blink182 can change a lot since the first release, Fly Swatter.

It's one of those albums which I didn't really like at first. I liked 2 songs the first time I heard it(I Miss You and Feeling This) and it took me about 3 weeks to actually listen to it again. Eventually it grew on me to the point that I listened to it about 10 times a week(Including while sleeping).

I've had it since Christmas but I'm still listening to it a lot. It's so different for them. They don't just use distortion and fast punk beats. I don't think it has much of that on the album at all. They use piano/keyboards and a lot of 80's retro guitar effects in certain songs. I fully didn't expect it to be how it is. I expected it to be classic Blink but it wasn't. At first I was a little sad about that but once I really listened to it properly I realised that it still a bloody good album. Each song is so different from the previous or next song.

I think it could of been a little longer, seeing as it was the last album they ever produced. I also think that for Blink, it was too clustered in some places. They have done yet another great album in my opinion and congratulations to them.

What are you thoughts on this album and what is your favourite song from it?
Mine would have to be I Miss You at the moment. It's empty, yet full. It's soft, yet rocky. It's smooth and flowing, yet full of surprises. It's catchy but not cheesy. I'm quite sad that it was their last album but if you want to hear some more of the guys in Blink then look out for these bands: The Transplants(Travis Barker. It also has Tim Armstrong from Rancid in it), Box Car Racer(Tom and Travis) and Plus44(Mark and Travis).

If you havn't yet heard this great album then go out and get it. I'm sure you won't be dissapointed.

Well you don't like them so fuck off. I wasn't asking for somebody to insult them. It says BLINK182 in the title. And if you don't like them then don't read it, or reply to it...

You wouldn't like them anyway mate. You're mainly into heavy shit from what I can tell and the Blink aint heavy.

Few good tunes though, didn't know they were putting a new album out. I'll have to keep an eye out for it.

That was probably about 5 years ago and they have matured a lot since then. You should find some newer pics. If one of them has a mohawk then it's new

They released some good albums and I must say that this is the best ther have released. Note, I didn't say I liked them

Yeah. Cheshire Cat is way too punk sounding. It all sounds the same, no interesting drumming, 3 chords etc etc the list goes on. That was their first proper release in NZ. They also have a way better drummer now.

Good tunes blighted by a 'sketchy' image ?

To use a quote from Kerrang about 18+ months ago, "Imagine The Clash, add some Channel perfume, fluffy bunnies, and just a dop of Kate Bush and you have Blink 182...the apparent inventers of soft punk."

Not knocking their musical talent. But they really need to eat more red meat.

Got to say that I really love I Miss You, and Always from their latest album... I Miss You in particular is very deep I felt.

Still thing that their greatest track has to be 'What's My Age Again'

Well those pictures are at least 4-5 years old. They have matured a lot since the last album. Here a few new pics.
