    Salutation All (SuzukiWolf)

HI! My name is Shane Copeland and I'm American. Just turned 38 a few weeks ago. I'm currently awaiting the arrival of my 2008 Suzuki GSX650F that has been shipped from the states. Its cleared customs and MPI now I have to wait for Bike-Tranz to pick up friday and bring it to me. So excited.

I've been living in NZ for the last twoish years with my kiwi born wife and the lovely kids. I've been riding off and on for the last 6 years while not visiting/living here or deployed for the US government in Iraq or Kuwait. I'm really looking forward to riding with some friends from work and around palmy while I get reacquainted with the bike as well as making new friends.

    Welcome!
There is a active bunch of riders in the palmy area. I think they hook up through facebook.
Go to this thread, and quote (since you might not have private meg rights yet) user banditrider to get his attention, pretty sure he can help you find the group.

I must admit, it took me a while to get past the American tendency to neglect the correct use of prepositions (how does one actually pick up "Friday"?)

    Anyway, now that's over, welcome!

The animals here have been known to bite (what I just did was gentle) but they all mean well, or at least, some of them do

Being in Palmy gives you ready access to some pretty nice riding, just watch out for the cross winds you get around there. I have met some very good buggers who frequent this site, am sure you will too.

Congrats on getting the bike this far, health to enjoy and safe riding.

It wasn't soo much neglect as typed faster than my brain was going. I'm used to the biting. This is my 15th trip down here in the last ten years so I've met a few who view me as entertainment in their lives. Not to mention the ribbing I get from my co-workers.

As far as the winds go I had gotten used to the winds in North East Texas blowing quite fiercely across the Interstate while passing trucks and their buffeting wind. I do miss those roads.
