Another commentary on our society, I've got a dashcam in my car now, because I've found out the hard way that when you have an accident people (and their mates who are with them) tell lies.
Yep although I'm still against the idea of dashcam but collect and preserve evidence.
I got rear ended in the cage awhile ago and some stroppy slapper tried to say I was selfish for not moving my wagon off road. Told her basically what you said, been screwed over by people changing their stories afterwards.
Where I was stopped there was two lanes both ways, truck sized sealed hard shoulder as well so ample tarmac for people to safely go around. Plus being a State highway it promptly got the cops called out as I was technically blocking one lane so NZTA mandates them to get to scene and clear it asap.
And while people will assume if hit from behind you are in the right there can be technical/legal issues that good lawyers can explore. All turned out good in the end and full insurance writeoff and payout.

I though there were plenty of jobs going down south???

Thanks all, but Im fine as doodly dandy...thanks to takin ma "medicine"

There will be no ACC or Trips to my VET etc...my neck was stuffed long before this accident

After the accident and the Girl pulled over, she was crying and shaking and KNEW that she had just fucked up...but what was the damage?...really??...her bumper, my cowl and my neck (again)...car looked mid 90's, cheap rough but clean, and the Girl looked 20-max...what was I to do??...call the popo and have them put her through the wringer?...shove an insurance claim in her face??

...nah!...I just made sure she was calm enough to drive, there was no damage and left it at that! (Wot??......well at least Im consistantly stupid!)

The Neck will heal, the bikes fine, no need to get the popo or vets or acc involved.

work?...I will be fine , plenty of great REF's and a fantastic work history...looking forward to getting a better job to be honest (And the redundancy payout will cover me for at least 4months...paid to leave and seek better for my family...challenge accepted!)

As for dodging the Girl while stopped at the lights?...nope!, traffic island on my right, car infront blocking any possible gap on his right side, and the cars to my left to close to allow going down the left side of car in front...all I could think of was hang on to the clutch like hell and dump the brakes so I dont go under her...from there I was hoping for luck! lol...seemed to work out ok (Ive certainly had worse! lol)

again, thanks so much for all the kind words KBers

What a bugger. All the best for a new job and the neck. Don't put off getting it checked out - and if it caused some whiplash should be able to get some physio from ACC.

    Well, all sorted

Start my new job on Monday(better pay, company, role and opportunities), plus a week off before I start and I might even be buying my Charlotte a flash new car tomorrow (7 seater 06 mazda MPV 23t)
...looks like I needed that kick up the arse after all
