    Calgary Stampede

I live in Calgary and it is good to see some Kiwis doing well. There is also a girl from Hamilton riding in barrel racing who came in the top 3 the other night.

i went to the stampede in 2013, had an awesome time, the Nashville North tent was worth the trip alone,

Were you here for the massive flooding that year? It happened just before stampede? It was quite amazing they were able to clean all the slit off the grounds before the start of the event.

i spent the week before in Sicamous BC, and it was just after the rains that caused the flooding, and I remember the news reports, expecting to arrive and see damage, but it was all cleaned up by the time i got there,

Nice - funny enough I was just at the grounds tonight for the first time this year. I had been sick all week. It was cool friend of friend knows one of the Chuckwagon drivers, so we got to see the race from the rodeo shoots. i.e. where the bulls/horses come out jumping during the rodeo. It was awesome. Never had the chance to see it from that close before.

They had a motorcycle stunt show on the main part of the grounds and the announcer was asking where everyone was from. New Zealand was being represented again this year.
