I am assuming it's not dodgy. Katman's behaved as an asshole on plenty of occasions. That doesn't really bother me. He's not in any way secretive or misleading as far as I'm aware.

Yeh it's probably just to avoid that implicit warranty period of a dealer/workshop selling a warranted ride. Which may or may not be a thing anyway.
