Yup. One of the reasons my daughter got out of professional wedding photography. Too many attempted shots ruined by dickheads thrusting phones, cameras, and even laptops into the field of view. Trying to get the obligatory walking-down-the-aisle shot was next to impossible - all you can see is a field of out-reached techno-crap. Women are by far the worst offenders - the big rush to be first to post photos on Facebook. And they don't take kindly to being told to get out of the way.

Have never looked at twatter and was a late adopter to facetube because I didn't really want to share that sort of info with the powers that be, then I realised I wasn't that interesting and its since replaced my original email and IM crap. Awesome for organising booze ups, events, catching people when you're travelling and storing pics, plus now in place of Skype too so I use it for phone calls.
There is a photography thing on FB, but long gone are the days of viewing a photo as it was taken, they all now seem to need an enhancement of some kind, amateur photographers are happy with they see with the naked eye, but not what their $2K camera has supplied them. I have put a few photos up (just as a piss take really cos I don't use real a camera) and people 'like' them. They were taken on my S3 phone. A couple were taken years ago with a cheap as digital camera.
At least FB has some use, WTF is Linkedin for? That's got to be the most useless networking site, although it is nice hitting the decline button.
DeMyer's Laws - an argument that consists primarily of rambling quotes isn't worth bothering with.
True. My sis-in-law got into professional photography and I found that the main difference between photos we took of the same scene was that I could look at mine and it would represent what I saw when i took the photo but looking at hers gave me an artistic representation of stuff that wasn't neccesarily there.
Grow older but never grow up
I've been to two weddings now where everyone was asked to not take pictures during the ceremony and any taken before and after not to be shared on social media until the bride and groom had shared some of their own pics from the professional photographer. Both times it was at the suggestion of the photographer, and both times everyone did as asked, no drama.
If the couple didn't want to do it I'm sure the professional photographers would either not take the job or let them know what to expect. Times change, you just have to roll with it.
FB is a bit like this forum, when browsing the net, you keep flicking back to the site to see if anything new has popped up. I make contact with a couple of others on fb but get sick of the 'cutsie' animal pictures and the inspirational proverbs that get posted by women (mostly friends of friends) that I have never heard of. If there is one four lettered word that should be outlawed, it is "Like".
A kind of digital 'woman's day'.

I must be the only person on here who hasn't got a Facebook or Twitter account.
Think I'm better off without it, tell me it's a good thing and why ...
Cat pictures.
