The difference here though is I don't care and I don't like you....and I don't have to prove anything right?
This is a friendly Motorcycle forum that has like minded individuals that post to other like minded individuals worthy information and thoughts and feelings...
Hmmm.....
This isn't FaceBook? is it?
Joined facebook a couple of years ago, looked at it a couple of times, didn't understand it, never used it again.
I mentioned vegetables once, but I think I got away with it...........
That's one way of looking at it. But on KiwiBiker you can't choose who interacts with you - on Facebook you can.
KiwiBiker usage has plummeted over the last four years or so. This is solely down to Facebook. KiwiBiker brought many people together in the past, Facebook took over for them. Large numbers have disappeared from the KB site - but they still socialise.

An excellent example of what you describe is the thread you started about hearing aides. I hope that I'll never need to have any, have some hearing loss, but I have read that thread with interest and found it very informative. There are other threads that are well-worth reading and then there are those that are read for entertainment / laughter value...
I believe this is better than Facebook...
Still not interested in farcebook, maybe when the kids get older I'll join what replaces it so I can manipulate and spy on them, or whatever passes for parenting in 2025.
Made the mistake of LinkedIn as boss sent a request. - Self perpetuating spam virus that gets you to do the dirty work.
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
Facebook is what you make of it I guess.
I don't have anyone on my friends list who I don't personally know - and like. I've never understood the mass collection of "friends" who are complete strangers. It seems more of a silly teenager thing - most friends wins?
Having said that, there's several people on my friends list who are hidden from my news feed, due to their propensity for posting screeds of annoying nonsense - silly pictures, "repost this" crap, etc etc. I can still visit their pages and send them messages when I want.

Best advice under the circumstances would be "go ride the thing" surely? Ive often wondered since the advent of internet motorcycling how much useful information has been digested by the poor cunts starting out on two wheelspenny to a pound whats been learnt pales considered to pre internet when they didnt have to spend time reading the rantings of whoever and actually rode the fucking motorcycle,no offence to the poster ive quoted at all just a general observation.

Fair Comment
I suppose most started on a smaller bike then progressed often with mates or friends help. They found how ride by themselves etc.
In the last few decades bikes have become progressively faster and people want to do things as fast as possible too.
I have learnt a lot from the internet and books and mates. There has been a few things that I hadnt learnt from these sources, but have learnt the hardway - bymyself.
Yes there is a lot to learn - its ongoing for me.
but I wil admit, the best thing I ever did was go for some longer rides.
so yeah I agree with 'Relax and go ride the thing'
