Tethered kill switch on 89 fzr 1000

Gonna do burt munro street race this year so have to install kill switch. Anyone here know which type of switch I need for the fizzer?
Normally open or closed? and do I just hook into the original kill switch?
Just thought id ask here before I open it up.
    Cheers.

I try and avoid the place ... growing up (Figuratively speaking) down there ... was incentive enough to leave.

The street race will take competitors around a circuit through Bill Richardson Dr, Fox St, Beatrice St, Phillip St, Victoria Ave and Arena Ave.

i'd think normally closed - open when pulled.

BUT - check that it actually stops the fuel pump too when it's pulled - often the "kill switch" just cuts the ignition.
Last thing you want is the fuel pump still running with broken fuel lines.....
Struck this on a Ducati and had to cut into the main power feed to the on/off switch to cut everything.

Thanks Grumph, il check it out. The GS is nearly finished. Id rather street race the GS but I only have room for one race bike and teretonga is a great track for the FZR so FZR it is. Il take it easy in street race, just a bit of fun riding the whale!

You may be surprised, there are often more entries at the street circuit than Teretonga. A lot simply don't ride on the Saturday as on a smaller classic or postie 'tonga is a bit intimidating. I'd pick if you go again, you'll find a way to take two bikes.
