Hey everyone,

New prospective rider here, considering getting my first bike! I live in Napier and Auckland but spend a lot of time overseas as I sail the seven seas for a living.

Looking around at the moment but I quite like the more classic/cafe racer/brat bike style rather than a sportsbike. Would be good to meet up with some fellow member as I understand you have a mentor program in place?

Welcome along. The mentor program thing hasn't really taken off, but the best thing you can do is try head along to SASS or NASS. Search the forum for the threads.

Have a look at Royal Enfield bikes. They're fairly cheap, but have the classic cafe racer look and they're learner legal.

Thanks everybody for the welcome. In HB at the moment where my bike will be stored so once I'm set up sugilite I'd be keen to take you up on your offer!
