Engine swap

Hi am looking at swaping engines on a Honda vfr 750 as my orginal frame must be bent. only trouble is i need to undo the special lock nuts that hold the swing arm and right hand side engine bolts

There a special honda service tool . you can buy aftermarket versions but as there are 3 diffrent sizes bit out my budget which is zero at the moment. ;-)

anyone know how to make your own versions ?

You find an old 1/2in drive socket of the right OD - and proceed to mark the four pieces you need to leave upstanding round the edge.
Then attack it with grinder and files...
At least, that's how I've done all my Honda "special sockets".....

What grump said or if this all looks to hard have a check of http://www.eurobike.co.nz/products/1...hub_tools.aspx there may be something the right size here and hopefully $30 won't break the budget. Your local bike shop will be able to source them for you.

Use CRC knead it. Use a socket head that you don't want anymore, that's bigger than the nut you want to undo. Fill it up with knead it, push it onto the nut, sit it there til it sets, good to go.

Use baking paper or similar if you don't want them permanently attached.

Thanks mate i look into it i have trouble Kneading my scone mixture cant get bloody things to rise lol oh i bet get some smart comments know . god shows i need that bike going i turned into my mum.
