Piston is the same as a standard 61mm gy6 61mm bore but the one I got is high compression. Difference is it flat top at same height as the dome top centre with valve recess same as original so will have its increased compression from the higher edges.
Its a match I took the piston to the rebore guys to see if it was good to just hone and install.

20mm pin is huge for a engine that size are you sure?
all the other GY6 engines seem to be 15mm pin
as attested here.Click image for larger version.

Ill have a measure up after work. You could be correct on the pin as if its 20mm down to centre there wouldn't be much area for the rings.

I cant open that file on my pc for some reason.

That makes more sense, when she lets go next time you can find a better one with more comp. Looks like that one I linked first would work.

Im just going to ride it until the weather gets better and then on sell it.
The one I got is higher comp than the stock one due to highest point being same height but not being dome from what we could measure.

Reassembled little motor after work and have it running again. Have not got any anti freeze so ran it short time only.
Seems to sound and do the correct things. Wont know if the reused head gasket worked I guess until have coolant in it.

Coolant added and went for a ride. A lot more grunt if you call double what little grunt it had before.

Quick ride onto the motorway then off at the next exit. Easily pulled my 100+kg to 95kph indicated. Light person could ride at the limit.

Went for a ride up the hill at Aro Valley and handles steep streets better than expected. Accelerated while climbing and handles in the corners with its 17inch wheels.

For sale lol. To be fair have done more kms on it than the café racer.

She lives on other side of road. Bedroom is same height as my deck where the beers are plentiful.

That house has been empty since 1995 when the owner died. Lady that inherited it wont sell or get tenants.

Fully furnished including 20 year old pot plants that are beyond watering. Power on and alarmed etc. Grounds men do the lawns etc.
Same lady owns the Saatchi and Saatchi building plus a residential rental empire but apparently she spent time in the house as a child and wants it left untouched inside.

She could be described as mad but as she has money we will settle for eccentric.
I should invite her to spend time here and see if she will hire me a gardener and pay for my power bills.
