Hyosung GT250R rear seat lock broken can't open seat

    Hi All

So I slammed the rear seat closed on my bike. Didn't sound too different was always a bit of a battle to get into place but when I went to unlock it the whole lock rotates with the key, but the key never goes to the unlock position.

So, how do I get into the rear seat compartment to open it as I can't open the front seat so I'm stuffed.

I've attempted to remove the rear fairings by removing all of the bolts attempting to slide the fairings or realease some pressure on the lock but can't fully remove them with the seat locked. Anyone have any ideas?

    Cheers

Can't picture the bike - but if you do this on a Hornet you can get in to release the lock by removing the tail light. Might apply to your circumstances too.

Or just trade it in on a new bike ...... unless you stash of drugs is under the seat.

If someone with a gt250r can post pictures of the inside of the rear compartment I reckon there is a crew holding onto the fairings and I don't want to break them

Thanks I'll look into that and the missus said no to the new bike I already asked

Hyosung riders don't do drugs; just antidepressants...

You can comfortably fit 9 ounces of bud under the seat of a ZX12-R. Apparently.

I had this issue on my hyo a few years back. Do you still need the pics? I'm pretty sure I posted the issue on here actually, pics included. Try searching otherwise let me know and I'll see if I still have them!
