VJ Day (victory over Japan?) 15/8/1945 - 70 years ago!

I was 6yrs old and remember that day like it was yesterday but not until recently did I actually learn the truth! Why do they do that?

There are many things that the world does not know about that time but this lady will fill in some of the blanks!: https://youtu.be/BsHz63ZX3gs

Of course it includes conspiracy theory stuff but in between there are some factual gems that only a person of her qualifications and experience could know!

Only foolish people throw the whole apple away just because it has little bug in it - but then this is KB! Smart people can tell the difference!

Thanks for the reminder of VJ Day.

For me the only sad part is our failure to really learn from the past. Kinda hard to talk about what matters without being labelled a conspiracy theorist, all I can add to that is it saddens me to read the history record on an event I've been part of and see the picture twisted to suit someone elses agenda. Still, such is life as a pleb I suppose.

I can't be arsed watching 2 hours of conspiracy theory , but its easier to look back from 70 years with a different view to the people who were there at the time.

If the Japanese of the Germans had had the Atomic bomb and a means of delivery they would have used it.

As much as dropping Atom bombs on cities was abhorrent they were given the opportunity to surrender, which is more than can be said for the Japanese behaviour in China.
DeMyer's Laws - an argument that consists primarily of rambling quotes isn't worth bothering with.

If I am not mistaken more (civilian) Japanese died from being incinerated when purposely bombed with incendiaries as was Dresden in Germany (Civilians were the targets)
Both my Father (RAAF) and Step Father (RNZAF) fought against the Japanese, one thing is for sure little was learned in the 70 years since WW2 let alone WW1.

This in an interesting account of things including Japan in China which seemed OK to the other global powers in the beginning (1934 iirc)
China, Spain and then all of Europe in the 1930's decade.
