    just checked out their website.

    Mind.."poof"..blown.
The process they use doesn't have a HUGE selection of colour but I'm sure I can make it work. Gotta make sure I get this right - I imagine it's quite a tough coating to take back off again!!

I'll get in touch with them. Good thinking, disgusting jelly person.

Go see Bert, up in Montgomery cres, Upper Hutt and talk to him about what he can get his hands on from the suppliers to do likewise.
just picked up some stuff from him and dropped more off, very impressed with his work, i asked him to put a small wedge in my springs which he didn't seem fussed about, the man did it that way as requested.

In the end I sent the rocker covers off to HPC end of last week and I should get them back start of next week, which ain't a bad turnaround at all really. They're going to be coated in "HiPerCrystal" glossy finish "Crystal Bronze" colour. And bear in mind that's pre treatment, HiPerCoat underneath and then the translucent colour HiPerCrystal finish on top for 60 bucks a piece, which is OK.

I'll post before and after pics FYI for whomever looks up these old threads for info/ideas.

Interesting... That finish looks like it has picked up the bumpiness of the cast surface? what was the prep like?

agreed. I don't mind that too much, though. I want it to "look cast". what irks me more is there are a couple of nicks in the finish already straight out of the protective wrap. This stuff is supposed to be real dope, I'm not sure how they've managed to chip it.
I'll feed back to them about that, but I'm not sure it's irked me enough to go through the process again.

CERAKOTE is a worthwhile option. Primarily a protective coating for rifles but can & has been applied to many other applications including motorcycles. Greystone Guns in Doyleston (just out of ChCh) are a certified Cerakote agent....Stuart dispatches customers rifles through work and having seen the quality of the finish & its strength against knocks and abrasion it is impressive stuff, its available in a full range of colours too.
