Fire and Lights deals are so good apparently that they don't want the world to know about them. What a useless website.

For the record Qkkid was in my bed, not the other way round

You've heard about the mechanic's car..? The website was a cheapie online business card that has just a basic run down on what I sell with contact details.

I'm rebuilding both websites, and starting with the Shorai one. I do know how important it is to have a good interactive website, but to be honest I have been struggling to match business growth and have been putting every cent I can get into stock.

Business has tripled in the last two years and of course the USD exchange rate drop has been larger and quicker than anyone expected resulting in my orders costing thousands more each time.

I would love to find another $50k to throw at it but my rich uncle died many years ago...

Thanks mate. As Shaun says, I have spent more than I want to count in sponsoring racers and teams and in promoting the businesses in "samples" and "customer support", which of course eats into cash flow and profits.

I have also won the naming rights to the Barry Sheene Classic, which is now the Shorai Batteries International Motorcycle Classic. This too, requires a hefty investment that is even now producing great results.

So my poor little Fire and Light NZ Ltd. website has had to muddle along without much care and attention until now.

Good on ya ED. I did not want this to turn into the typical KBR slagging thread scene

You've been 'doing' that for fucking ages. Do you need some contacts of web-capable nerds? You'd get both done with opencart for about a grand; cheap as chips. With your margins you'd make that back with just a few sales anyway.

Nah, my price range is a bit high I think.

I do have a free tip though, if you don't use number in stock properly, hide that field from displaying, otherwise it's just a way to show how many you have(n't) sold since the website went up

The website is not there for retail sales and I have sold very little through it. I have my 150 or so dealers doing the selling and my primary role is to support and promote their businesses.

Hence I refer sales to whomever is closest to the customer wherever I can.

It's an information site that the public and dealers can use to choose the right battery for the application.

Well in that case; if you don't use number in stock properly, hide that field from displaying, otherwise it's just a way to show how many you have(n't) sold since the website went up.
And make the battery finder (or link to shoraiUSA site) more prominent.
And tidy up the dealer page (would a map kill you?), and make it more prominent too.
