Found it interesting today that after months of doing nothing about Auckland house prices & also saying nothing which might effect said market ,that Bill said that its ready to collapse....so which of his masters rang him in the last week with new orders?

Years of the government doing nothing. I can´t see Auckland house prices tanking until the migrant influx stops and demand dries up. That could happen if people struggle to get work to pay the bills or their overseas income dries up.

That would pretty much sum it up, I blame the Chinese for getting the world used to taking everyone's commodities, stopping buying them and pouncing on them like a hidden tiger crouching dragon and buying all their property.

But hey the Govt are on to it, we have pretty flags to worry about.

Sad thing about your last comment, we ( In General) the public voted them in- so it is a true reflection of who the semi and intelligent people felt is the best I guess. But seriously, the nats do not have any real competition either. Buisness people like them, the wealthy like them, and they are the majority of voters it seems

Sadly they type of people who want to be in Councils and Governments are often not the ones best suited to the role.
Personally I can't stand meetings and sitting around listening to others go on for hours so that would rule me out of ever wanting to be a Politician.
Interesting to see the likes of Nick Smiff, who was once a non expert on ACC now a even less of an expert on the Environment and Housing, clearly these guys are just mouth pieces for the Yes Minister Mr Humphries.
