Looks like the Cains case is turning ugly. Lou Vincent is getting hammered by the defence.

Meanwhile, back at the rugby, I can't see Ireland getting any further. A good article somewhere about the horrendous rate of injuries at this WRC. Twice the numbers of the previous tournaments.

Gut feeling that the RWC might turn a little ugly in the match with France - harking back to the 1986 test series in France! - French appear to be playing mind games!

(Due to drugs) Not a memorable period for French rugby honour: https://youtu.be/iUGONZSaNM8 the infamous Buck's "ball-sack" test!

The game has certainly changed under today's rules!

(In jokes and humour you used "punch" twice.)

What a game. Even the wife sat through it.

    Seen and fixed already.
It was a classic line though i'd like to see it at real speed. Plus the attention Richie was getting prior.

He had the ball at his feet and the try line in front of him and the big lug chose to dive over the ruck.
Any more of that namby play and he'll be playing his world cup rugby off the bench.

Ireland and Aussie for the semi's.

Very clinical performance - made more satisfying by the fact that the French looked strong in possession of the ball! Long way to go yet!

Good for the ABs - as much as I like to poke fun at them - that was a steamroll and definately banished a few RWC French Demons.

Why would you need to make fun of them? You are English afterall
There's many years of laughter just with the Poms team performance at 2015 RWC.

Plus gee reading the Cairns stuff its looking pretty grim for him thus far.

Rugby: yep, now we are into the real competition. I found the latter stage of the game this morning still incredibly exciting even once the result was a foregone conclusion.

Cricket: I love watching the Black Caps play even and am gutted to think of any of them being dirty. Sadly I can't help but believe what is being said about Chris Cairns, and of course it's his lawyers job to attempt to destroy witnesses like Lou Vincent (an easy target). I just hope that testimony from the likes of McCullum, Bond and others will enable the truth to be revealed.

Back to rugby: my pick - Argentina and Australia in the other quarters; and ummmm Australia New Zealand for the final. Given that the bokke are probably still smarting over their loss to Japan they will be a particularly formidable foe in our semi though...

Only Scotland left now, from north of the boundary fence, and I can't see them doing Australia. Irish gave it a good shot but their legs fell off in the last quarter.
