Twas in jest rather than a scathing commentary, that said it does look like it may have a nappy tank which would be useful considering the race schedule and weather conditions. (That and wheels that dont self destruct.)https://www.motorcyclenews.com/sport...tt-crash-case/
    Does it Bob?

i was at the TT that year, they were then changing this type of wheel each pit stop, and not even putting new rubber on them as a result of this. went to the home of i recall second in charge of honda parts in america's home in the states on the way home and it was interesting about the repurcussions they were expecting too.

I never knew he actually got paid out in the end he way not have anyway as they drag this on for years.
Americas extremely litigious about everything other than guns.
In a story i posted about Tony Dawson (astailite Wheels)
He was shocked to find on the IOM people were using his short circuit wheels and insisted on checking all of them, he found a rivet missing but the rider refused to stop.
    Worth a read

what did the scrutinneers have to say about it? i have astralites as stock on my hesketh and some high mileage ones require attention. early ones had less rivets than the later ones.

Pretty sure they dont scrutineer the bikes at each fuel stop do they.
Its in the text from what is written the mutlipiece wheels gradually fail and the one piece ones just explode.
Tony only found the bike had shed a rivet at a fuel stop.
