If the seat Hump was bigger it would look like a giant snail was humping it.

Geez dude get out and ride. Oohh my wife won't let me.

Geez just tell her it gets rid of the feelings involving the nubile 20something that moved in down the road that gets out running. Have you seen her?! (Fictitious but she doesn't need to know that).

Looked at this for about 20 minutes today thinking " that won't last long"....
I thought easy fix and flip but alas common sense kicked in.... I hate common sense, I want to be spontaneous but would need to plan for it.

Series 1 BMW R90/S, looks to be within the first 1000 made of 17 000.

By BMW standards barely run in at 54 000 miles, if it was British would be on its 2nd engine rebuild.
    $18K
In my opinion probably one of the best all rounders of its time.

Probably go for 20-25K as TM bidding madness ramps up.

    . . . been garaged for all of its life . .

He could never get it started.

The garage had no roof either.

I had been watching that one go up in price as the auction rolled on. So given it was a almost original clean example what's a full restro minter worth!

It's interesting as these are the bikes that Ducati made a performance reputation on, but also one for poor reliability. Yet now the are highly desirable and more expensive that a modern reliable one ......

Refer to other thread about RTG Rose tinted Glasses.

I've been watching Bevel prices for ages and the round case ones go for high prices now.
It comes down to having two keen bidders in a lot of cases with RTG and a few wines in.
I suppose todays Ducati owners can thank Ducati for hanging on as long as they did in the 80's....it looked pretty bleak about 1986.

Not bad for a non running bike and in my opinion not greatly desirable.

We took one of those - may even have been that one, there were very few imported - to the Superbike round for the owner who rode it in the BEARS support class. It was so stock he had to remove the centerstand before racing it. He forgot about the stand for a couple of months and I had it under my bench....If I still had it, I wonder what it's worth, LOL.
He was the sort of owner those bikes needed. Worked for Auto Restorations in ChCh and had been right through it before racing it. Last heard of working for Deus in Auckland.

Not sure what you mean, I think all post war BMW's had Earles Forks up to about the late 60's. Apparently they ride ok.

Didn't BMW invent Tele forks...just before dub dub two for TT races?

Before Don Quoteote Googles it and corrects me....

The first production motorcycles with hydraulically damped telescopic forks were the German BMW R12 and R17 in 1935.[2] However, undamped telescopic forks were used on bikes made by The Scott Motorcycle Company from the beginning of production in 1908,[3] and the Danish Nimbus used them from 1934 on
